About Us

At Crosby Hall Educational Trust, every day brings a new opportunity for growth and exploration.

Crosby Hall Educational Trust (CHET) is a small independent centre situated in a beautiful rural setting on a 120 acre country estate about 8 miles north of Liverpool. It was created out of the 17th century stables and farm buildings at Crosby Hall which has been the home of the Blundell family for many centuries. The Blundell family founded CHET more than 30 years ago and remain fully involved. We are a small independent centre where our guests enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, enhanced by sole occupancy of the centre. We find that a visit to CHET can enable a school group to relate to itself and its teachers in a new way.

CHET is a registered charity which was established in 1991 to offer children from all backgrounds a taste of country life away from the routine of normal life. Here they can enjoy a range of outdoor (and indoor) activities that are not available in a classroom setting. We are constantly improving the range and quality of these activities. We at CHET are committed to providing for our visitors a fun, exciting, stimulating, but safe experience.

We can accommodate up to 63 children comfortably in bunk bedded rooms for four or six. We have great cooks who provide an excellent home cooked nutritious menu that can cater for all dietary needs.

At CHET we have a wonderful, committed staff team who work tirelessly to ensure that every child enjoys their short time with us and that they will remember their experiences for many years to come. We offer a wide variety of instructor-led activities and collaborate with each school so that we provide a program that is tailored towards your objectives. These may include rafting, orienteering, shelter building and bush craft, archery and adventure course to name just a few. Some activities set us apart from other residential centres, and help to ensure that not only is a child’s visit to CHET a memorable one, it is also unique.
